"Waiting for the Bend" is a technique when you pre-bolus and then wait until your CGM shows a "bend" in the CGM line before eating.

Since insulin takes about 15-20 minutes to start working in your body, waiting to see your CGM line respond to the insulin before eating will help reduce post-meal glucose spikes.

Waiting for the bend is an easy way to know that the pre-bolus you gave is active in your body, and therefore can help counter-act the initial blood sugar spike when digesting food.
